As we embrace the dawn of 2024, I am filled with a sense of optimism and determination for the year ahead. I am delighted to share with you our vision and strategies for the months ahead. This year marks a significant opportunity for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), as emphasized by the government as our main agenda. While we anticipate excitement, we are also mindful of the challenges that lie ahead.

The landscape of TVET is rapidly evolving, with technological advancements such as Industry 4.0 and the growing importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles reshaping our industry. At KISMEC, we are committed to remaining competitive and relevant in industrial training, prepared to meet the evolving demands of the market.

In 2023, KISMEC successfully completed two international programs, namely the CLMV project on Common & Standard Curriculum in Industrial Electronics for CLMV countries, funded by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) and International Labor Organization (ILO), running the KISMEC-ILO-UK Partnership Skills for Prosperity Programme, enhancing our legacy on the global stage. Building upon this momentum, we will continue to explore new opportunities internationally, with a focus on sectors such as Electrical and Electronics (E&E).

Furthermore, we recognize the potential for growth in the Northern region, with investments pouring into areas like Kulim Hi-Tech and Penang Science Park (Batu Kawan). Leveraging these developments, we are committed to harnessing government funding to enhance our training facilities and equipment, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of delivering quality education and training programs.

Additionally, we are excited to announce our venture into the Middle East market, a strategic move that promises to elevate KISMEC to new heights. By tapping into this region’s opportunities, we aim to broaden our impact and contribute to the advancement of TVET on a global scale.

In line with our commitment to excellence, we will diligently pursue government funding to enhance our training facilities and equipment. This investment will enable us to deliver high-quality training programs that meet the evolving needs of industries and learners alike.

As we embark on this journey together, I am confident KISMEC will continue to thrive and make significant strides in the field of TVET. Let us seize the opportunities that await us and propel our organization towards a future of success and prosperity.
